Tropical Valhalla names a symbolic territory rather than a location. In Tim Horn’s paintings, the tropical world is not treated as decoration or escape, but as an arena of psychic intensity. Mythology, dream states, transformation, desire, fear, ritual, decadence, and collective psychology converge into images that feel both ancient and immediate. The work moves between celebration and collapse, between lushness and warning, between paradise and its shadow.

These paintings invite viewers into a state of heightened looking: a place where figures become archetypes, landscapes become ceremonies, and the boundary between waking consciousness and dream begins to dissolve.
